  • Step 2 — Measure, don't guess

    Use the sizing guide for your kit. Measure in inches — not dress size — and choose the size that matches. Between sizes? Email us before you order and we'll confirm.

  • Step 3 — Check it against your list

    When your box arrives, work through the contents against your own surgeon's list. If your surgeon has asked for anything extra, or told you not to use something, your surgeon's word wins — always.

  • Step 4 — Pack your recovery corner

    Set up where you'll rest: kit, water, phone charger, and your surgeon's aftercare instructions together. Future you, on day two, will be grateful.

Questions, answered plainly

When should I order?

2–4 weeks before your surgery date is the sweet spot. It gives you time to measure carefully, check that sized items fit before surgery, and set everything up at home. Ordered later than that? Contact us before you buy and we'll tell you honestly whether it can reach you in time.

How do I choose my size?

By measurement, not dress size. Use the Sizing Guide and your kit page: measure in inches, over light clothing, and measure the body you have now. If you're between sizes or your measurements don't line up neatly, email them to us before ordering and we'll confirm your size. Realised after ordering that you picked wrong? Email us a size correction before your kit ships.

I'm plus-size. Will this actually fit me?

That's the point of this store. Our kits were built with plus-size body-contouring patients in mind, and sizing is based on real measurements rather than dress size alone. Check the measurements for your kit, use the Sizing Guide, and email us before ordering if you're unsure — we'd rather confirm your size than have you guess.

Does this replace what my surgeon tells me?

No — never. This kit helps you prepare and get comfortable; your surgeon directs your recovery. Always follow your own surgeon's instructions, and if anything in this kit conflicts with them, follow your surgeon and tell us.

What's actually in the box?

Every kit page lists its full contents. Nothing is padded to hit a piece count. Check the list against your surgeon's list before you buy — that's exactly what it's there for.

How fast will it ship?

Orders ship within 1-3 business days. Order with your surgery date in mind, not a delivery estimate — build in buffer.

What if it's the wrong size?

We work hard to stop that happening in the first place — that's what the measurement-based Sizing Guide and our email fit-check are for. If you realise you've ordered the wrong size, email us before your kit ships and we'll correct the size on your order. Once a kit has shipped, we don't offer size exchanges: opened hygiene and compression items can't be resold, and that's exactly why we ask you to measure first. If your kit arrives still unopened, the returns policy below applies.

What is your returns policy?

Unopened, unused kits with their hygiene seals intact can be returned within 30 days of purchase. Here's how it works: (1) Email customersupport@recoveryrefined.com within 30 days of purchase, with your order number, to start your return. (2) Choose how to send it back: (a) we email you a prepaid return label and deduct the label's actual cost from your refund — you're only charged if you use the label; or (b) ship it yourself with any carrier, at your own cost (tracking recommended). (3) Pack the unopened kit in its original packaging, drop it off, and keep the tracking receipt. (4) We refund to your original payment method within 10 business days of the return arriving and passing a quick unopened check, minus any prepaid-label cost from option (a). Original outbound shipping isn't refunded on change-of-mind returns. Sent the wrong item, or something arrived defective or damaged? We pay the return label and refund in full — email us first with a photo. For hygiene and safety reasons, opened compression and wound-care items can't be resold, so those aren't returnable — and we don't offer size exchanges.

I'm buying this for someone else. Is that okay?

Yes — caregivers and partners buy a lot of these kits. Two tips: pick the kit for her procedure, and if you don't know her measurements, contact us before guessing a size.

I can see medicines and antiseptics on the contents list. How should I use them?

Some items on a standard pre-op list are over-the-counter medicines or antiseptics — for example the antiseptic wash, antibiotic ointment, laxative, and arnica gel in our baseline kit. They are supplied sealed, in their original packaging, and listed on the kit pages by name only. Whether, when, and how to use any of them is your surgeon's decision — some surgeons ask patients to stop certain products before surgery. If your surgeon's instructions differ from anything in the box, your surgeon's instructions win. We do not sell supplements, and nothing in a kit is a recommendation to take anything.
